Bio
Dr. Kanakadandi is one of several highly-skilled gastroenterologists at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph and Maryville, MO. He earned his medical degree from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City, N. Y. Dr. Kanakadandi completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and therapeutic endoscopy at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
Dr. Kanakadandi was drawn to gastroenterology because it combines medicine with surgery. He chose Mosaic Life Care because he is passionate about patients being able to access the highest quality of health care in their own community.
“I connect with patients on a human level,” says Dr. Kanakadandi. “I try to find out what social support they have to lean on. I remind them I am there for them regardless of what questions they have. They can ask me questions at any time. I am always available.”
He treats patients with IBS, IBS-D, GERD, celiac and gallbladder diseases as well as pancreatic and biliary conditions. He treats patients with cancers, such as gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic and colorectal. He performs therapeutic endoscopies and colonoscopies.
