Different bills you might receive
Depending on your type of treatment, you may receive more than one bill. For example, if you had your appendix removed, you may receive a bill from the hospital for the operating room and surgical supplies. You may also receive a bill from the surgeon who performed the surgery and the doctor who supervised the anesthesia.
Hospital charges do not include physicians' fees. You will be billed separately for the professional services of the emergency room physicians, your admitting physician and other physicians involved in consultation. For example, radiologists will bill you for interpretation of x-ray procedures; anesthesiologists will bill you for the administration of anesthesia during surgery; pathologists will bill you for their services. You are responsible for providing insurance information to those other providers. Sitters must also be paid separately. If your providers are all employed with Mosaic, we provide guarantor billing which will list all of your bills for these providers in one document but with separate sections for each service/provider.
Forms of payment
You can pay your bills with cash, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, debit cards, Paypal, personal check or money orders. Payments made after the date on the statement will appear on the next month's statement. If you are unable to pay the full amount, we have payment options that may help. Patients may call Patient Billing at (816) 271-4006. We want to work with each patient to meet his or her financial responsibilities. If this isn't successful, past due amounts will be forwarded to an agency to continue collection efforts.
How to pay your bill
Statements for services prior to March 4, 2023 will be sent on a different Mosaic statement with payment options and/or Customer Service can be contacted at (816) 271-4006 to pay by phone.
If you are paying a bill for services received AFTER March 4, 2023, please pay in MyChart.
ClearBalance offers payment options for plans that will last longer than four months. If you already have a payment plan, you can make a payment now.

Insurance information
If you have health insurance, the amount you will pay for care will depend on your insurance plan. Your insurance plan's benefits package will determine how much you pay and how much your health insurance plan will pay.
You will also want to make sure Mosaic Life Care is in-network for your insurance coverage. If your insurance company says Mosaic Life Care is not in-network for your plan, you will want to find out how your out-of-pocket costs will be affected if you use an out-of-network doctor. How to update my information
The insurance information we have on file can be found at the top of your paper statement, by calling (816) 271-4006 or by contacting your doctor's office. If you notice that your information needs to be updated you can do so by filling out the back of your payment stub on a paper statement, calling (816) 271-4006 or by contacting your doctor's office. Please remember to bring any insurance card changes with you to your next doctor's appointment.
