Childbirth Education Classes and Infant Care and Safety Classes
These two classes are one evening each.
Where: Franciscan Room at the Mosaic Medical Center - Maryville
When: 5 – 8 p.m.
Cost: $10 per couple, payable the day of the class. A light dinner will be served during class.
Class descriptions
Childbirth Education Class
Have confidence as you head to labor and delivery. In childbirth education class, we will review what to expect during labor and delivery, pain management options, cesarean delivery, when to come to the hospital, and briefly cover obstetrical emergencies. If unit census allows, we will tour the labor and delivery department at the end of class.
Infant Care and Safety Class
Becoming a new parent doesn't have to be an overwhelming experience. Come build parenting skills as we go over infant care, normal newborn sleep, basic first aid and CPR, home safety, and feeding options. A lactation specialist teaching the class will review breastfeeding in great detail.
