Overview

Anal cancer is a rare cancer that occurs in the anal canal, the short tube at the end of the rectum.

Symptoms

Symptoms include bleeding from the anus or rectum, pain in the area of the anus, a growth in the anal canal, and anal itching.

Treatments

Treatment includes a combination of chemotherapy and radiation. Surgery and immunotherapy may be other options.
