Overview

An enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia) usually occurs with aging. The condition can lead to infection, bladder stones, and reduced kidney function.

Symptoms

It can cause difficulty starting urination. The stream may be weak, or stop and start.

Treatments

Treatments include medication, surgery, and minimally invasive surgery.
