Make an appointment to see a doctor if:

• Severe
• Persistent
• Gums continue to bleed even after treatment

Self-care

Gently brush teeth twice a day, being sure to clean all the surfaces, as well as the tongue. Floss daily, gently rubbing the side of each tooth in an up-and-down motion.
