Overview

Cardiac arrhythmia is a heartbeat that's irregular, too fast, or too slow. This occurs when electrical impulses in the heart don't work properly.

Symptoms

There may be no symptoms. Or they may include a fluttering in the chest, chest pain, or dizziness.

Treatments

Treatment, if needed, includes drugs, medical procedures, implantable devices, and surgery.
