Overview

Cholangitis is an infection of the common bile duct. This tube carries bile from the gallbladder to the small intestine. The condition can occur when a gallstone or tumor blocks the duct.

Symptoms

Symptoms include belly pain, chills, fever, and dark urine.

Treatments

Treatments include medication and surgery.
