Cholera


Overview

Cholera is a bacterial disease usually spread through contaminated water. It results in severe diarrhea and dehydration. It's fatal if not treated right away. Cholera is rare in industrialized countries.

Symptoms

Symptoms include diarrhea, dehydration, muscle cramps, shock and seizures.

Treatments

Treatment includes rehydration, IV fluids and antibiotics.
