Choriocarcinoma


Overview

Choriocarcinoma is a type of cancer of the womb (uterus). This type of cancer grows quickly. It often occurs after an abnormal growth of the placenta called a molar pregnancy.

Symptoms

Symptoms include vaginal bleeding and pain.

Treatments

Treatment involves chemotherapy. Surgery to remove the uterus and radiation may be needed.
