Dermoid cyst

Overview

The most common location for a dermoid cyst is the outer part of the eye socket near the end of an eyebrow.

Symptoms

Dermoid cysts are smooth, rubbery, and nontender. A ruptured cyst can inflame the skin and result in an infection.

Treatments

To avoid complications, dermoid cysts are usually surgically removed.
