Gigantism

Overview

Gigantism is a condition of unusual growth from overproduction of growth hormone during childhood. Often, the cause is a noncancerous tumor on the gland that produces the hormone (pituitary).

Symptoms

Other symptoms include late puberty, a prominent jaw, and gapped teeth.

Treatments

Treatment includes surgery and medications.
