Overview

In hemolytic anemia, red blood cells are destroyed faster than the body makes them. The condition can be inherited or due to a disease.

Symptoms

Symptoms include headaches and feeling grumpy and tired. As the condition worsens, the whites of the eyes may take on a blue tint.

Treatments

Treatments may include medications and blood transfusions.
