Humerus fracture

Overview

A humerus fracture is a fracture in the upper arm bone (humerus).

Symptoms

Symptoms depend on where the fracture occurs, near the shoulder, in the middle of the bone, or near the elbow.

Treatments

Treatment includes a sling, splint or cast. Surgery may be needed to align the broken bones. Physical therapy is usually needed after healing.
