Overview

Symptoms of an insect bite result from the injection of venom or other substances into the skin.

Symptoms

Most bites cause mild stinging or itching. Some bites can trigger a life-threatening allergic reaction. Breathing difficulty, facial swelling, dizziness, confusion, and hives are symptoms of such a reaction.
