Liver spot

Overview

Age spots (liver spots) are flat tan, brown, or black spots. Older adults, people with fair skin, and people who've spent lots of time in the sun are most prone to them.

Symptoms

The spots appear most on sun-exposed areas such as the face, hands, shoulders, and arms.

Treatments

Age spots are harmless. But prescription creams and procedures can remove them.
