When to make a doctor’s appointment

See a doctor if:

• Lasts for more than a few days
• Worsening loss of smell
• Not associated with allergies or infection
• New weakness on one side
• Tremor

If caused by allergies or illness, over-the-counter antihistamines, saline nasal drops, or nasal steroid sprays may help.
