Nasal septum deviation


Overview

A deviated nasal septum occurs when the wall between the nostrils (septum) is displaced to the side. A nose injury is a common cause.

Symptoms

Signs can include obstructed nostrils, nosebleeds, and noisy breathing during sleep.

Treatments

Treatments include decongestants, antihistamines, nasal steroid sprays, and surgery.
