Overview

Nephritis is inflammation of the kidneys. There are several types, based on the cause and the affected part of the kidney. Nephritis can cause high blood pressure or kidney failure.

Symptoms

Symptoms may include blood in the urine, fever, and fatigue.

Treatments

Treatments may include decreased fluids, medications, and a low-salt and low-protein diet.
