Pes cavus

Overview

Pes cavus is a condition in which the arch of the foot is higher than normal. Causes typically include bone or nerve conditions.

Symptoms

Symptoms include pain, trouble fitting into shoes, and a short foot length.

Treatments

It's usually treated with custom arch and insole inserts or supportive shoes. A severe case may need surgery.
