Prostatitis

Overview

Prostatitis is a swelling of the small walnut-shaped gland (prostate) that produces seminal fluid.

Symptoms

Symptoms include difficulty urinating, pain in the groin, pelvic area, or genitals, and, sometimes, flu-like symptoms.

Treatments

It may get better on its own. If not, treatment usually includes medications.
