Roseola


Overview

Roseola is a generally mild infection caused by 2 strains of herpes virus. It's common, usually affecting children by age 2. It occasionally affects adults.

Symptoms

Symptoms include several days of high fever, followed by a rash. The rash may appear as many small pink spots.

Treatments

Treatment includes bed rest, fluids, and medications to reduce fever.
