Sacroiliitis


Overview

Sacroiliitis is inflammation of 1 or both of the joints that connect the lower spine and pelvis (sacroiliac joint).

Symptoms

Pain is often in the buttocks and lower back. It may occur in the legs, groin, and feet. It can increase with activity.

Treatments

Treatments focus on relieving pain. They can include medications, muscle relaxants, and physical therapy.
