When to make a doctor’s appointment

Make an appointment to see a doctor if:

  • Persistent
  • Frequent crying
  • Loss of interest in activities once enjoyed
  • Extreme fatigue
  • Changes in appetite or sleeping patterns

Self-care

Occasional sadness should pass in a short time. Talk to a friend or family member, and spend time with friends or family, doing things that usually bring happiness.

Seek emergency help if:

  • Thinking about suicide
  • Attempted suicide
