Sinusitis


Overview

Sinusitis is a condition in which the cavities around the nasal passages become inflamed and swollen.

Treatments

Acute sinusitis can be triggered by a cold or allergies. It doesn't usually require treatment. Chronic sinusitis lasts at least 12 weeks and may be caused by an infection or growths. Chronic sinusitis may require antibiotics.
