Overview

Sjogren's syndrome is an immune system disorder that occurs when the body's immune system attacks its own healthy cells. Sjogren's often occurs with other such disorders, such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.

Symptoms

Sjogren's syndrome is characterized by its 2 most common symptoms, dry eyes and a dry mouth.

Treatments include eyedrops, medications, and eye surgery.
