Overview

A thyroid nodule is a solid or fluid-filled lump that forms within the small gland just above the breastbone (thyroid).

Symptoms

The majority of thyroid nodules aren't serious and don't cause symptoms.

Treatments

Treatment options for larger or cancerous nodules may include medication or surgery.
