Uterine fibroids are common, noncancerous growths of the uterus that often appear during the childbearing years.

Symptoms

Symptoms include heavy menstrual bleeding, prolonged periods, pelvic pain or pressure, and frequent urination.

Treatments

Treatments include medications and removal.
