Varicocele

Overview

A varicocele is an enlargement of the veins within the scrotum, the loose bag of skin that holds the testicles. Varicoceles can cause low sperm production and decreased sperm quality, causing infertility.

Symptoms

A varicocele often produces no symptoms.

Treatments

It can be repaired surgically if necessary.
