Vulvodynia

Overview

Vulvodynia can be so uncomfortable that sitting for long periods or having sex becomes unthinkable.

Symptoms

Symptoms include burning and rawness in the genital area. Pain may be constant or occasional and can last for months or even years, then vanish as suddenly as it started.

Treatments

Treatment may include vulvar care, change in diet, oral and topical medications, biofeedback therapy, or Kegel exercises.
